'Chocolate Chip'
I planted several in 2011 to make a nice ground mat around the patio wall walkway and steppers.

After blooming they looked a little ratty for a while, but then the spikes disappeared and they quickly revert to a low dense covering of foliage.

After blooming the foliage is a dark, moody purple and green color that makes a nice underpinning for the zenobia and hydrangea that grow above it.
