Planted 2012, from Broken Arrow.
Great profile of Comptonia Peregrina here.
Woody shrub with very ferny foliage, but of course it is not a fern. It has a soapy, fresh fragrance when you brush your hand over the leaves.
I planted it right by the entrance to the patio, and I walk by all summer and touch the leaves. Can get large and will spread, so keep runners cut and prune for shape. No need to cut off the spent brown foliage in spring. The new leaves will push it off.

It has great fall color, and keeps its leaves into winter. Interesting structure in winter by the patio wall.

It has clean green dissected foliage and a rounded shape. I love to brush my hand over it and smell the fresh soap scent.
