Daylilies, Daffodils
I have mixed daylilies and daffodils planted throughout the gardens but I long ago lost track of which cultivars they are.
At the top of the driveway I put in white and yellow daffodils and a few are fragrant. Near the curve of the driveway I planted hybrid daylilies that are a peach color.

In 2013 I planted plain old ditch lilies, the orange tiger lilies, Hemerocallis fulva. I put them in a narrow strip in the shape of a chevron, flanking the furthest white birch.
Over the years I have planted lots of daffodils on the hill below Wadhams Road. These were 'The Works' from Whiteflower Farm, naturalizing daffodils.
I stitched two photos together to make a composite showing the daffodils on either side of the Norway spruce on the hill. It's quite a field of daffodils now, mostly clustered under the spruce which will overtake them eventually.
The angled strip at the back of the yard was doing exactly what I envisioned -- making a big arcing line of orange tiger lilies, tall and bright. Tiger lilies are in flower only briefly -- not as long lasting or pretty as the hybrids, but I do like them and they are perfect for the "wild" back of the garden transition to the meadow beyond.
They may get too rambunctious for this narrow strip in future years. But it's mowed on all sides, so I think we can keep them under control.

It's very brief but they are a welcome sight at 4th of July, and they really do show up from afar. I love the look under the white trunks of the birches.
