Planted 8 'Karl Foerster' in spring 2011.
They are lovely grasses, so upright and feathery with golden seed heads.
I put a clump at the edge of the meadow behind the berm, and surprisingly, in 2014 it grew and was perfect in that edge spot. Tucked in with tall weeds, the Karl Foerster grass rose above and shone in the late summer light. It was a really nice combination.

This grass works well as a transition point between the mowed lawn and the wild weeds -- it adds a pretty focal point to the chaotic jumble right at the edge of the tidy garden and lawn. I think I'll plant more along the edge of the meadow in different spots.
