'Phantom'
In 2014 I bought a Joe Pye Weed called 'Phantom' from the North Central Conservation District sale. It's a dwarf variety of the big tall mauve-flowered prairie plant. This stays about 2 to 4 feet tall.
It is supposed to be a butterfly magnet and will form a big stand.
I put the single clump under the viburnum in the blueberry garden strip.
Joe Pye Weed can be susceptible to powdery mildew, so I need to watch this and keep it moist enough.
