Helianthus salcifolius / Dwarf Sunflower

MoBot photo.  Mine haven't filled in yet
Helianthus salcifolius
'Low Down'

A fall bloomer.  Also called willow-leaved sunflower.  Very low, compact, only grows a foot tall.  I just put a couple tiny clumps in the Meadow's Edge Garden in 2010, and they have struggled.  Nothing to show yet, no photos, but in a year or two these should start to come in.

They will tolerate poorer soils on the dry side, so their location under the maple tree, competing for moisture, should be acceptable.

This is an ex-plant. It never grew, and I don't remember seeing it at all in 2012.
