Planted 'Golden Peep' in fall 2005. A dwarf forsythia variety from Forestfarm planted along the foundation on the east side.

In 2014 the shrub had areas of die out in the middle, with browned and missing branches.
But it briefly looks good in April each year, and if I look at it from the side, with a green boxwood and the redtwig dogwoods to frame it, well -- it's okay.

No idea what causes this but the browning and decline happens each year.
